Work placements
Placement opportunities are open to second year law undergraduates who are seeking a year in industry as part of their degree. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from graduates or non-law students.
During your placement, you’ll:
- Work in a designated team for the duration of the placement.
- Gain first-hand experience on client matters, with the right level of supervision.
- Learn more about our practice areas, from business and property to family, private wealth, and injury.
- Build transferable skills in research, communication, drafting, and teamwork.
- Be paired with a mentor who can answer your questions and guide you through the experience.
Placements are a great way to build your confidence and skills, and many people use them as a stepping stone to future opportunities, such as graduate programmes, apprenticeships, or training contracts at Moore Barlow.

Work experience
Our Moore Insights programme is a two-day insights event for A-level and 1st year law and non-law undergraduates interested in a career in law.
This immersive programme gives attendees a valuable introduction to the legal profession, including insights into our practice areas, career pathways in law, and the chance to engage with our lawyers through interactive sessions and Q&As.
